The International Sufi School has conducted extensive research on the development of non-violent alternatives in all spheres of life. Therapy is a method of making peace with these legacies. It is used widely in the medical sphere to enable a person to deal with events which have caused suffering and conflict in his/her life, usually after a breakdown or crisis. Our speakers: Peter Jakob a consultant clinical psychologist, and director of PartnershipProjects.
British Pugwash/Oxford University Press meeting to launch Andrew Brown’s new biography of Joseph Rotblat, Keeper of the Nuclear Conscience. The meeting will be followed by a reception where Andrew Brown will sign copies of his book, which will be on sale. The meeting will feature presentations by Andrew Brown, Professor Paul Rogers from the University of Bradford’s Department of Peace Studies, and Sandra Ionno Butcher, Director of the Pugwash History Project.
Speaker Dr Lee Marsden. Dr Lee Marsden is Senior Lecturer in International Relations in the School of Political, Social and International Studies. He is a specialist in US Foreign Policy, religion and security and teaches modules on international security and conflict resolution, fundamentalism, religion and international relations. He is a regular speaker at national and international conferences and has been awarded a UEA ‘Excellence in Teaching’ award.
