This year marks the 70 anniversary of Franz Jaegerstaetters execution.
To mark this, we are planning an evening event in Euston, London with speaker Severin Renoldner from Pax Christi Austria. Severin has researched and written on Franz and is Head of Education and Culture for the Diocese of Linz. There will also be a liturgy and time to share food together. Leaflet attached.
Members of Norwich CND propose to lay a wreath on the War Memorial and to continue to the Peace Pillar in Chapelfield Gardens for a short vigil. All are welcome to join us. We will walk in a quiet, formal procession with banners, starting from the Friends Meeting House in Upper Goat Lane at 11.30am. We will wear white, if possible. The event will finish by 1.30pm.

The Peace & Anti-War Movement on the eve of the First World War - lessons for today. Recognising the impact that the national commemoration of the First World War will have, the Peace History Conference looks at the peace and anti war movements and individual campaigners who attempted to change public perceptions and government policy, before and during WW1 and the following century.
With speaker Julian Wright, Senior Adviser Climate Ready Support Service in the Environment Agency. Dr Wright is an authorised speaker for WaterAid.
The talk is at 1pm and will last about 30 minutes followed by questions.
Admission is free. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch any time from 12.15pm. A donation is invited for a hot drink and biscuits.
Join us by the Thames in Canbury Gardens to commemorate the nuclear attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. We shall float lighted boats on the Thames to remember the victims of the first nuclear bombs. Please join us.
