Conference at Woodbrooke. The conference is organised by Quakers but open to all comers. Speakers include Ben Griffin - he used to be a career soldier in the SAS but conscientiously objected and set up Veterans for Peace UK. Peter Tatchell, Ljiljana Bogoeva, and David Gee will also be speaking on diverse themes and there will be plenty of interactive time. The conference would be ideal for anyone thinking of getting more involved in peace work.
Nick Gill and the Oxford Classic Jazz quartet with guest star Thomas ‘Spats’ Langham on banjo and guitar will play a benefit concert for Oxford CND.
Aldermaston Women's Peace Camp is held on the second weekend of every month. We arrive at camp on Saturday morning or sometimes on Friday evening (please ring to check we are there if you plan to come Friday evening). We stay until Sunday lunch-time.

We are very happy to announce the date of the 2014 London Radical Bookfair. This year we are joining forces with the Alternative Press Fair and taking over all 3 floors of the Bishopsgate Institute. What’s more the Bishopsgate Institute are also hosting a series of political talks in the run up to the bookfair.

The speaker will be Dr Ian Fairlie, an independent consultant on radiation in the environment, and his title will be As we await a new generation of nuclear power stations in Britain, this is a very topical and important question at the moment.
Dr Fairlie was the scientific Secretariat to the UK Government's Committee Examining Radiation Risks of Internal Emitters (www.cerrie.org ). He is also a consultant to the European Parliament, WHO, IPPNW and local authorities Coffee is available from 10.30am
