Remember & Resist: Grassroots action for peace

Peace Pledge Union conference and training event. his afternoon conference follows on from the PPU's annual general meeting in the morning. The AGM is aimed at PPU members (though you can join on the day!). The conference in the afternoon is open to all.

From Violence to Wholeness: study programme

This programme is an initiative of the Conforti Institute, Justice and Peace Scotland, Faith in Community Scotland and Place for Hope.

A Ten-Part study and action programme, it explores nonviolence as a creative, powerful and effective process for addressing and resolving the conflicts in our lives and in the life of the world. Drawing on the vision of Jesus, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Dorothy Day. We welcome participants from all denominations. The course provides participants with a Christian approach to nonviolent living and Justice and Peace campaigning.

10 week course on thursday evenings.
Starting 19th April til 21st June 2018

On 17 May 1649, three soldiers were executed on Oliver Cromwell’s orders in Burford churchyard, Oxfordshire. They belonged to a movement popularly known as the Levellers, with beliefs in civil rights and religious tolerance.

Musical Protest No More Arms Fairs!

ELAAF Musical Protests aim to raise awareness of the arms trade and campaign for the cancellation of all arms fairs at ExCeL or anywhere else. More supporters are needed. Just turn up and be welcome. More singers, musicians (any style) needed, also jugglers, dancers, mime artists. Even if you are not musical you will still be welcome. We need people to give out leaflets, collect a petition, put up and take down posters etc.
From Custom House DLR Station or Victoria Dock Road E.16. 3BY, just follow the signs to ExCeL. This will be at the WEST (CUSTOM HOUSE) entrance to ExCeL.
