Movement for the Abolition of War invites you to join us for a visit to Argentina!
Online

MAW Committee member David Collins recently visited Argentina as part of his research into the causes and lessons of the Falklands/Malvinas war of 1982.

David has kindly agreed to tell us about the book he is writing and the highlights of his visit.

Come and hear of the views of Argentinians on the still unresolved sovereignty dispute with the UK in the South Atlantic and Antarctic, and about the insights David gathered into the local culture.

All welcome! Register (free) for what promises to be a fascinating evening at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/a-visit-to-argentina-with-david-collins-t...

8th Annual Student/Young Pugwash Conference

Location: Central London, Venue TBC / Online via zoom

Student / Young Pugwash (SYP) is a network of students, researchers and younger people interested in a wide range of peace and security issues. We are the youth wing of the Nobel Peace Prize-winning Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs, founded in 1957 by Albert Einstein, Bertrand Russell, Joseph Rotblat, and other prominent public figures and scientists.

Our annual conference is an opportunity for young and emerging experts to share their ideas and research from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds. Conference attendees will be a mix of established experts from the Pugwash community (e.g. diplomats, scientists, academics, campaigners) and students / young researchers.
