BOOK LAUNCH: Suicide by Roger Hallam
London N1 9DY

Housmans welcome Roger Hallam to discuss his essential new book: Suicide: The Political and Legal Implications of Creating Endless Mass Death. In the age of climate collapse, telling the truth has become a criminal act. From a cell in Wayland Prison, Roger Hallam—farmer, researcher, and co-founder of Just Stop Oil—delivers a searing indictment of a legal system that punishes those who resist, while protecting those who destroy. In July 2024, Hallam was dragged from a British courtroom for refusing to stay silent about the climate crisis. For “conspiracy to cause a public nuisance,” he was sentenced to five years in prison—the harshest punishment for civil disobedience in the UK in modern British history. The case made front-page news and drew global outcry.

Yemen vigil
London

Join London Campaign Against Arms Trade on Thursday March 26th at 6.30pm
opposite Downing Street to stand in solidarity with the people of Yemen.

March 26th marks eleven years since the Saudi-led coalition started
their brutal assault on Yemen. In that time, thousands of Yemeni
civilians have been killed by Saudi bombs. The UN estimates that 377,000
war related deaths occurred by the end of 2021. Over 154,000 of these
deaths were the direct result of the armed conflict. 21.6 million people
need humanitarian aid.

We will have Ruth Rohde from Shadow World Investigations and David
Wearing, Assistant Professor of International Relations at University of
Sussex, as speakers.

Conscience Supporter's Panel
Online

Conscience is launching Conscience’s Supporters’ Panel and would love you to be part of the very first meeting, even if you’ve never joined anything like this before. The Supporters’ Panel is a new initiative that brings together individuals committed to Conscience’s vision of shifting UK taxes away from war and towards peacebuilding.

It’s an informal group – no legal responsibilities, no required donations – just a willingness to contribute time, thought, and feedback.

Participation is flexible. Some may stay involved as panellists, while others may choose to take on a deeper role in time, such as joining our Executive Committee.
