Burying the Alleluia!
During Lent, ‘Alleluia!’ is not said during our church liturgies. As CCND’s special contribution to the 30th Anniversary of Ash Wednesday Witness at the MoD, there will be a preliminary liturgy and procession across the Westminster Bridge, carrying a carved Alleluia plaque, candles, cross and coffin, from the Imperial War Museum to the Embankment Gardens.
At the end of this liturgy, the Alleluia Plaque will be symbolically buried, only to be resurrected at Easter.
Please dress in black or purple if you can and join us in front of the Imperial War Museum at 2pm.
