"Peace Inside and Out". Called to be Peacemakers Conference. Looking at how we can find our own inner peace and work to effect change in our communities. We welcome speakers Julia Hausermann (Rights and Humanity), Millius Palaywia (director, FoR) and Rev Bill Anderson (Chair, Birmingham Methodist District) and workshops from the Student Christian Movement, Pax Christi and SPEAK, as well as individual peace activists coming to share their stories, to help us explore our calling to be peacemakers, in our own lives, in the lives of our communities and across the world. The weekend will end with a pilgrimage and protest from Yardley Hastings to Downing Street to present our Drones Quilt to Number 10. All are welcome to join us for the weekend. The all inclusive cost is £50 but there are bursuries available. The conference is aimed at 18-30's but our older friends and especially trustees are warmly welcomed.
