ActionAid UK’s campaigner conference. It’ll be themed around ‘activism in the Global South’ and will be an opportunity to celebrate activism and the power of campaigning. The main talks during the day will cover our Fearless campaign on women’s rights, and we will also be launching our new tax justice campaign. Speakers will include: Azza Soliman, a women’s human rights activist who was threatened with imprisonment by the Egyptian government. Chisomo Bullah, a tax justice activist who will talk about her campaigning in Malawi. Zoe Williams, columnist for the Guardian and an outspoken critic on tax avoidance. 10am – 4.30pm.
