An Exhibition Celebrating Women’s Peace History. To celebrate the Centenary of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom in April, the Peace Museum is proud to present an exhibition exploring the efforts of women and women’s groups throughout history to campaign for peace and equality. The exhibition features an extension of our permanent Greenham Common exhibition: Common Ground, Uncommon Women. It also explores the history of the WILPF, the Cooperative Women’s Guild and includes banners and objects from various local, national and international women’s peace groups.
The Museum is open every Thursday 10am till 4pm, and at other times by prior arrangement. To book a visit, contact shannen.lang@peacemuseum.org.uk. Please note that the Museum is located up some 60 steps and the building does not have a lift.
