Marking the 70th anniversary of the first use of nuclear weapons. In August 1945 the US dropped two atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

This free event will consist of peace songs, poetry and short contributions from trade unions, community & faith groups, civic leaders and a speaker from the Japanese community.

We will then release 200 peace lanterns on the River Dee to commemorate the 200,000 men, women and children who died.
