Belfast This will be a walk of approx. one mile, starting from Carlisle Circus at 3.30 pm and finishing at Belfast City Hall at 4.30pm
Peace Day will be marked by many activities including an Interfaith Pilgrimage Of Prayer For Peace. The walkers will be required to observe silence during the walk. No banners or placards will be carried. There will be no speeches.
The walk is an opportunity to pause, reflect, pray and consider how best to move on from cultures of violence and build cultures of safety and peace for all. Walkers will be invited to pray for peace and a world free of weapons and warfare.
