Human Rights in Afghanistan
Peace activist Maya Evans - who took the Government in 2010 to the
High Court over its complicity in the torture of Afghan detainees -
has travelled to Afghanistan with Voices for Creative Nonviolence.
She met with Afghan human rights activists and took part in an international "Global Day of Listening" on 21 December 2011 with peace
activists from Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine and Libya.
Maya will talk about work with the Afghan Youth Peace Volunteers,
Human Rights in Afghanistan, Refugees, Drugs and a bit of history
about the country as well as campaigning initiatives for the UK.
