Walk in Peace

Walk in Peace: A little bit of peace, starting with yourself – the first Sunday of every month. Please join us in a slow, silent walk in peace for peace. Meet by ‘Speakers Corner Café’, just south of Speaker’s Corner, Hyde Park (Marble Arch tube), at 10.55am to start walking at 11.00am, returning to starting point at 12 noon.

You don’t have to be a committed pacifist or nonviolentist to join in – meetings are open to anyone interested.
Events usually revolve around a particular topic chosen by participants at an earlier meeting. Anyone taking part can suggest topics for future meetings.

10 October: NONVIOLENCE AND SPORT.
Is sport inherently violent? Can sporting allegiance be a part of positive community building, or does it encourage sectarianism? Can sport be used to promote peace?

14 November we’ll revisit NONVIOLENT ACTIVISM – CONSCIENCE, CONVENIENCE AND COMPROMISE.

And in DECEMBER (on 12 December) we’ll have a seasonally festive topic to discuss. See website for details
