Armed Forces Day events take place all over the UK, and include military parades and 'family fun' events. At these, children are regularly encouraged to handle real weapons, while their devastating effects are ignored.

PPU is collaborating with ForcesWatch and Quakers in Britain this year, and have redesigned our 'war is not family entertainment' postcards to make them more user friendly. These are intended for distribution in advance of, or outside, Armed Forces Day events. We've also compiled a briefing document full of information on challenging Armed Forces Day, and produced a template letter (Word and PDF) for supporters to send to their local council.
