The topic of this month's meeting of the London Pacifism and Nonviolence Discussion Group is Nonviolence And Romance. (Might this be an opportunity to prepare yourself for the following
Saturday??)
"Romance" has connotations beyond the traditional "love and peace" mantra which is often seen as typifying a commitment to nonviolence. But where does it fit in? Is it just a social construct? Is it real? How does it relate to ideas of sexual freedom and sexual self-identity which are often important to those adherents of nonviolence of a libertarian bent? (And many pacifists and nonviolentists do have a very libertarian worldview.)
Pacifism and Nonviolence Discussion Group meet on the second Tuesday of the month. All are welcome, but please be prepared to join in the discussion. Please try to turn up by 7pm sharp.
