To provide an opportunity to learn about the issues it raises, Medact and the Faculty of Public Health are pleased to announce a health and fracking masterclass. This event will provide an opportunity for attendees to learn about the process of high volume hydraulic fracturing for shale gas production, the role that shale gas may play in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and the social, economic and health impacts of shale gas production.
Speakers include: Dr David McCoy (Medact), Prof. Simon Capewell (University of Liverpool), Dr Patrick Saunders (Professor of Public Health, University of Staffordshire), Prof. Ernest Rutter (University of Manchester) and David Smythe (Emeritus Professor of Geophysics, University of Glasgow).
