This memorial artwork, created by Leah Hislop and commissioned by Christian CND, serves as a poignant commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It stands as a powerful testament to our ongoing commitment to a world free from the threat of nuclear weapons.

The installation features origami cranes meticulously folded by volunteers as part of the 2024 Christian CND 1,000 Cranes Campaign. In Japanese tradition, the crane is a symbol of healing and hope; here, each individual crane represents a person offering a prayer for global peace.
