Speakers include: Theresa Alessandro the Director of Pax Christi will talk about her role as well as developments within the Catholic Church on the issues around nuclear weapons. Steve Hucklesby from the Joint Public Issues Team will talk about a new report on the financing of nuclear weapons, which UK based faith groups will publish in the autumn.
Workshops include: Don’t Bank on the Bomb – sharing ideas for campaigning to encourage banks and institutions to stop financing nuclear weapons. Christian CND 60 – find out how you can get involved in our 60th birthday plans for 2020. Conflict and Climate Change – discussion around the impact of military activity, including nuclear weapons, on the climate. Includes a short documentary.
