Join Peace & Justice (Scotland), and friends, for an Alternative Remembrance Event at the Quaker Meeting House, Edinburgh.
At around 2.15pm we shall set off for the site of the Peace Tree - location for the planned Opposing War Memorial in Princes St Gardens - where we shall hold a minute's silence. Sadly the tree was vandalised this summer and will be replanted this winter. Donations invited towards this.

We shall lay White Poppies* in memory of all those killed in wars - civilians, soldiers executed as "deserters" for refusing to continue to participate, as well as soldiers killed, and conscientious objectors who refused conscription.
