This event is being organised to mark the 30th anniversary of an explosion and fire at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in the Ukraine. The incident took place on April 26th 1986.
This incident caused the deaths of 31 people and long term effects such as cancers and environmental damage are still causing serious concern.
The Gathering and Vigil will consist of some short speeches and will be aimed at remembering the horrors of the Chernobyl incident and showing solidarity with those whose lives were drastically affected.
