Rene Gill will bring a red and white poppy wreath to place next to the Peace Plaque. Please bring your banners, poetry, songs and reflections to this event.
Gather 10.45am for 2 minutes’ silence at 11am and to lay a wreath of white poppies in memory of the victims of ‘The Great War’ and of all victims of war worldwide since.
Reflecting on the day: Joanna Bourke: Fear Defiance, and Hop: A History of Resistance. Also reading from the sermon to the Unknown Solider.
