Poetry in the Vaults. With Anthony Howell.
Housmans is very pleased to welcome poet Anthony Howell on the launch of his new collection of poetry, From Inside. Howell taught in prisons until he was taken off the books for helping inmates write material the authorities deemed inappropriate. This experience informs the poems of From Inside. An incarcerated view and a criminal underworld get contrasted with an “overworld” of privilege and conspiracy.
