‘Psychoanalysis Under Occupation: 16th Tom Hurndall Memorial Lecture’.

With Dr Lara Sheehi (chair of the Teachers Academy of the American Psychoanalytic Association and co-author of _Psychoanalysis Under Occupation: Practicing Resistance in Palestine_). Hosted by Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU). Dr Sheehi will explore psychological expressions of self- and collective assertion of _sumud_ (stalwartness), as living practices under violent occupation and settler colonial violence in Palestine. Tom Hurndall was a student at MMU. He was fatally wounded by the Israeli Defence Force while protecting Palestinian children in Gaza. He died on 13 January 2004.
