For pacifists, the answer to the question "What would a peaceful society look like?" is usually more than just "the absence of war". The logical conclusion of a pacifist stance (for most pacifists) is to want to undermine the causes of war - and hence, in turn, to rid society of the injustices and problems which lead people to think [erroneously, of course, in a pacifist's view] that they need to take up arms to deal with whatever the problem is.
