New exhibition (open to the public until the end of July 2016). Features a newly acquired 1919 copy of the Treaty of Versailles, objects relating to the League of Nations, the United Nations and will explore the development of the European Economic Community, which became the European Union. It will feature It will also provide arguments from both sides of the current debate on the upcoming British referendum on continued membership to the EU.
This is a special opening event. A drink reception will commence at 5.30pm, followed by an introduction to the Peace Museum. There will be an opportunity to view the exhibition and the evening will end with an informal discussion session with an opportunity to share views on the history of European cooperation and the upcoming referendum. The evening will also be in conjunction with the Museums At Night national event.
